Continuing on its commitment to helping users reach their health and wellness goals while letting them express their personal style, Samsung announced a new wave of updates to the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic.
There are new improvements to tracking analysis on features like advanced interval training designed for any cyclist or runner. Whereas, new features include a sleep coaching program and detailed body composition insights.
Not only that, but Galaxy Watch4 series users can now enjoy more customisations to their watches with new upgraded watch faces as well as get the new line of stylish straps.
Motivation to Move - Advanced Interval Training
Training for the next competition? Whether it’s a lifestyle, hobby or a profession, being a cyclist or runner is a proud title to achieve and celebrate for yourself. And Samsung is here to acknowledge that.
With the latest updates, Samsung Galaxy Watch4’s new interval target feature is now more detailed than ever. Runners and cyclists alike can pre-set the duration, distance, and number of sets for their workouts.
From there, the Galaxy Watch4 is able to guide them through a custom intensity training session. Whether it’s a series of high-intensity workouts, low-intensity or high-intensity workouts interspersed with low-intensity ones, you can achieve an impactful and targeted session every time.
Powered by Centr - Fitness Program curated by Chris Hemsworth
Besides that, with the latest body composition update, users will be able to get more insight into their health progress. A new addition to go along with Samsung Health’s body composition insights is Centr; a digital fitness program curated by actor Chris Hemsworth who’s a well-known fitness enthusiast.
The program aims to help users transform their health, fitness and mindset in a healthy way. To help you get started with ease, all Galaxy Watch4 users will receive a 30-day free trial for full and unrestricted access to Centr.
Of course, collaboration with top-ranked apps like adidas Running and Strava are still ongoing to help users power through their exercises.
Have a Better Night’s Sleep - Sleep Coaching Feature
Continuing to better Galaxy Watch4’s robust sleep tracking capabilities, there’s now a new sleep coaching program to help users develop better sleep habits.
If you’ve not tried the Sleep tracking feature, now is a good time as the program has interactive sleeping coaches to help you get your well-deserved sleep today.
By tracking sleep patterns over 7 days and completing 2 related sleep surveys, the program will assign you one of the 8 sleep symbol animals to represent your sleep type/pattern.
From there, the coach will guide you through a 4 to 5 weeks program that includes missions, checklists, sleep-related articles, meditation guidance, and regular reports to support you as you work towards improving your sleep quality.
Want to achieve a refreshed mind? A peaceful and quiet environment is key to achieving a healthy rest as well.
To make it easy for you, the Galaxy Watch4 recognizes when users fall asleep and will automatically turn off Samsung SmartThings enabled appliances such as lights to help create better sleeping conditions.
Greater Selection of Watch Faces - More Personalisation Options
As an obvious accessory that affects your everyday looks, it’s important that your Galaxy Watch4 makes the cut too for whatever events you have throughout the day.
Updates to the Galaxy Watch4 this time around are primed to make your wearable experience even better, from the inside out. Now, one can further customize their watch face with additional colours and digital clock fonts that make the watch truly their own.
What do you think about these updates? They are inspired by the initiatives that Samsung is taking to reach its vision of equipping the next generation with not just practical innovations but also a quality healthy living lifestyle. From here, we can imagine the Galaxy Watch user base to continue growing with each passing update.
“We are excited to continue this effort as part of our wider initiative to redefine holistic wellness through expanded experiences and new innovations.” - Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President and Head of Software Platform at Mobile eXperience Business, Samsung Electronics
