NVIDIA's RTX 40 series and AMD's RX 6000/7000 series, the cards this guide used to recommend, are now two generations behind. In their place, NVIDIA's RTX 50 series (Blackwell), AMD's RX 9000 series (RDNA 4) and Intel's second-generation Arc B-series cards are what you can actually buy new in Malaysia right now.
We pulled live Shopee Malaysia listings on 31 July 2026 to verify every price and confirm every card below is genuinely in stock today, not discontinued or imported grey-market stock. Nothing here is a 2023 or 2024 holdover.

How to Choose a Graphics Card in Malaysia
Usage. If you play graphically demanding games, look at the top half of this list. If you mainly do video or photo editing, office work or light gaming, a mid-range or budget card from the bottom half will do the job and save you a significant amount of money.
Display and refresh rate. Match the card to your monitor. A 1080p 144Hz display is well served by the RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT. A 1440p high-refresh display wants the RTX 5070 or RX 9070 XT. Native 4K gaming is where the RTX 5070 Ti and above start to matter.
Power supply. Every card above lists a recommended PSU wattage. Undersizing your power supply is one of the most common build mistakes in Malaysia's DIY PC scene, and it will cause random shutdowns under load rather than a clean error message.
NVIDIA vs AMD vs Intel. NVIDIA's RTX 50 series leads on ray tracing and DLSS 4 upscaling. AMD's RX 9000 series usually matches or beats the NVIDIA equivalent in plain rasterised performance for less money. Intel's Arc B-series now offers genuinely more VRAM per ringgit than either, with driver support that has caught up a great deal since the original Arc A-series launch.

Is the RTX 5070 or the RX 9070 XT the better buy in Malaysia?
The RX 9070 XT usually wins on plain rasterised gaming performance per ringgit. The RTX 5070 wins if you care about ray tracing and DLSS 4 upscaling, or if you use the GPU for creative work that benefits from NVIDIA's software ecosystem. Both are sold locally with local warranty through the same authorised resellers.
Is 8GB of VRAM enough for gaming in Malaysia in 2026?
For 1080p gaming at high rather than ultra settings, yes, cards like the RTX 5060 and RX 9060 XT handle it comfortably. For 1440p or for the newest AAA titles at maximum texture settings, 8GB is starting to show its limits, which is why we recommend the 16GB variants (RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, RX 9070 XT) if your budget allows it.
Should I worry about Intel Arc driver issues in 2026?
Far less than in 2022, when the original Arc A-series launched with genuine driver problems. The second-generation Arc B-series, including the B580 above, has had two years of driver updates and performs reliably in current titles. It remains the least mainstream of the three brands, so stock and local support are thinner than NVIDIA or AMD.
