The latest Samsung Galaxy S10 has arrived. And it’s actually not just 1 phone, but 3 phones! All of which are made and priced according to their tiers so there’s something for everyone no matter their budget (from lowest to highest-end): Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+.
So here’s everything you need to know including where to get the phones and what are the key details that make these phones so appealing and probably one of the best smartphones in Malaysia this 2019.
Release Dates
The galaxy phones are available for pre-order starting from 22nd to 28th February while stocks last. That gives you 6 days (as compared to 4 days for the Galaxy S9) to be in line as the first batch of Samsung Galaxy S10 owners. Still, don’t wait and hurry now before it’s too late!
Till then, Galaxy S10 sales in-store will start in early March, most-likely within the first week.
Price
According to Samsung Malaysia’s website, the pricing for the phones are:
- Galaxy S10e (6GB + 128GB): RM 2,699.00
- Galaxy S10 (8GB + 128GB): RM 3,299.00
- Galaxy S10 Plus (8GB + 128GB): RM 3,699.00
- Galaxy S10 Plus (8GB + 512GB): RM 4,599.00
All of the phones come in either Prism White, Black or Green, with the S10 Plus having additional variants in Ceramic White or Black (pre-order exclusive).
Specs, Features and Details
Processor: All the Galaxy S10s utilizes Snapdragon 855 Processor, with up to a 12GB RAM boost in support, and all of these are done with less energy usage thanks to the intelligent AI learning. Essentially, you’ll be getting a 29% speed boost in CPU and 37% in GPU compared to their predecessor, the Galaxy S9.
Camera: The Galaxies come with a 12MP rear camera that opens up to f/1.5 like the S9, great for low-light photography if you fancy it. Meanwhile, the 16MP ultra-wide angle camera is able to capture a wide view of the 123-degree field. That’s definitely good news for those who enjoy landscape photos with the likes of architecture or group photos - no more weird photography stance or cropping needed!
Other great features include a more intelligent AI camera for the suggestion of auto image composition as well as auto optimization settings for different sceneries.
Display: This time around, the Galaxies come with the new Infinity-O Display, allowing for very little bezels, no notch and almost all screen display (except for a tiny hole in the corner as the selfie camera). The screens are also Dynamic AMOLEDs, meaning a bright and rich screen yet being gentle and pleasant on the eyes. Depending on the model, display ranges from 5.8-inch to 6.4-inch.
Ultra-Sonic Fingerprint Sensor: In comparison to the S9, Samsung has now forgone fingerprint scanners behind the S10 and S10+, and embedded security onto the screen itself. Simply touch on the screen (without even needing to wake it up!) to unlock the phone. Don’t worry, the S10e still gets a Capacitive Fingerprint Sensor on its side.

For Celcom, one can choose to rent the phones from as low as RM 62 per month, or own the phones from as low as RM 86 per month. The plans come with internet data plans from as low as 50GB.
Maxis
If you sign up for a Samsung Galaxy S10+ in the pre-order only colours of Ceramic White or Ceramic Black, you also get to enjoy a free storage upgrade from 128GB to 512GB!
